Gdaddie’s album has been gathering up momentum. After an appearance on greek national radio last night, Gdaddie will be playing live at the launch party of the new webzine Ough!, which also interviewed him a while ago. The event will take place at Bios on Friday, 27 and Saturday, 28 January.
We wish a happy, creative and prosperous new year to everyone reading this.
On other news, GDaddie’s “Ride With Me” is being well received and lots of fun was had at the release party.
Plus, the first good news we got in the new year: one of memoryformat’s favorite netlabels, Archaic Horizon, has recently been revived, after a very long hiatus. Their 40th release is now online.
Newsflash: mfm12 will be coming next week!
It’s a funk-a-liciously electronified full-length by GDaddie. This one is getting a proper release party, so if you are in the Athens area the coming Thursday 15/12, make sure you’re there (more details on the flyer).
To get a taste of what it’s all about, check out the preview here, or even better: watch the video clip of “Ride With Me"!
A few things happened during the summer: mfm11 got podcast and radio airplay, as well as a very positive review. Memoryformat veteran Grounded Circle released a must-have ambientoid album on bandcamp. The multi-million dollar deal for mfm12 was signed by both parties, release dates and previews will follow. Several other things are stewing, so stay tuned.
mfm11 is now online. Get it from the releases section. Woohoo!
If you are in Dresden the coming Thursday, head over to Altana Galerie for a talk about number crunching and its use in music by yours truly, as well as a performance by computerized improvisation trio Ensemble Zinovieff. A little more info on this here.
Also, STFU Weimar was a blast! Lots of fun was had. Check out Mark UFOEL’s pictures here.
